Tarzan Rock
The rock was simple enough. It was quite large and covered in moss, except in small areas where it had been pulled off by his daughter. He had taken her up to visit the rock every time they went camping together - hiked up the trail next to the waterfall to visit Tarzan rock. The name came from the Disney movie. If he looked to the right he could see Jane rock; Kerchak rock was slightly up a nearby cliff. In fact, all of the rocks in the area had names. It was one of the things he was sad she had outgrown - her childhood obsession with Disney movies. Occasionally he would dig the old copy of Snow White out of the crawl space, remembering fondly the times she had squealed at the sight of the Witch when she was three. Peter Pan, containing her favourite villain, Captain Hook. Pocahontas, which she had once memorized. Whenever he went to visit the rock, which he always did when they came back to the old campsite, he couldn't help wishing she was a five year old exploring again. His tangents about the wonder of the natural world now bored her. She was probably back at the tent, now, texting her friends. The man sat down next to the rock and gazed at the rainforest canopy around him. After an hour he picked himself up and walked back down the old waterfall trail to the campsite and his daughter.
